French knickers or thongs for a big peachy bum :-/ Please honest nice answers, No jokers?

I love underwear, i buy it all the time. I am slim (size 10 everywhere else) with a small waist but a massive bum lol. Im quite self concious about my boyfriend seeing my big bum (which he says he loves but im not too sure) Im talking J-lo or Kim Kardashian size. At the moment i wear thongs which i know sounds gross cause of the size of my derriere but I dont have cellulite and it is pretty toned, I feel that it looks better (it may not). I dont know if its just me but i have tried french knickers and i think they emphasise the size and shape of my bum even more which i dont want to do but i dont know if this is just because im paranoid. Apart from that i love french knickers and think they are really sexy. So do i stay with thongs or change to frenchies? Thanks guys. Nice honest answers please. 
Wear both Some on some days some on the other days, whatever you feel comfortable in.
I think french undies are way cuter than g-strings.
